Come gaze at the stars

WHITBY -- The central branch of the library will be hosting a series of workshops presented by the Durham Region Astronomical Association. Those who want to start looking at the night sky with more knowledge are invited to the three free sessions, which run over the next three months.

The first will be on Thursday, April 24 ,from 7 to 9 p.m. and will cover getting started as an amateur astrologer. The second, called "Night Sky Slideshow" will be on Thursday, May 8, from 7 to 9 p.m. The last will be astronomy in the park on Tuesday, June 10, from 8 to 9 p.m.
