Calling all young readers -- and writers
Tue Oct 16, 2007

The Current is looking for some young readers who'd also like to be writers. If you like to get free books, read them and then review them on an occasional basis, this gig might be for you.

Currently, we've got a copy of  High Spirits - A Tale of Ghostly Rapping and Romance,   by American teacher Dianne K. Salerni, for young adults. Based on a true story of sisters Margaret and Katherine Fox and set in the mid 1800s, the story involves two girls determined to enliven their small town with an invented game of communication with the dead. The game, though, gets out of hand and has wide repurcussions.

If you'd like to read and review this, with your review published on The Current, send an e-mail to interactive@durhamregion.com and let us know why you're the best one for the job.

And if you'd like to review books in the future, e-mail the same address and  we'll be  in touch the next time we have a book available.
