AJAX -- Two men are being sought for the gunpoint robbery of a taxi driver early Saturday in Ajax.

The 48-year-old driver told Durham police he was confronted by two thugs, one armed with a silver handgun, when he showed up at Archbishop Denis O'Connor Catholic High School on Mandrake Street just before 1 a.m. The driver wasn't hurt and the suspects, described as black men in their late teens or early 20s, fled the scene with cash.

On the same weekend a cab driver was stabbed during a robbery in Pickering. Police continue to investigate both incidents.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 905-579-1520, ext. 2565 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
