Ajax is hosting the 70th anniversary reunion next fall and it will be the second time the Town has hosted such an event.

Ajax hosted a 60th reunion of the association in 1999.

During a meeting of council's general government committee on Thursday, Mayor Steve Parish nominated Ward 4 local Councillor Pat Brown to head an organizing committee. She filled the same role for the 60th anniversary.

Coun. Brown said the reunion would run from Sept. 29 to Oct. 4.
